John Klein has spent his career pushing back against the disjunct roles and processes in the construction industry. Frustrated by the division of responsibilities and the pieces that seem to fall through the cracks, John has dedicated his recent years to streamlining and integrating the pipeline that delivers structural metals to the site.
John's career journey started with turning a wrench on heavy equipment, then framing houses to pay tuition, estimating for a stadium-building contractor, supervising retrofits to highrise structural steel, and finally landing comfortably in structural engineering. He is capable with SMAW (with some help on machine settings), passable at brazing, and still loves to break out a bit of calculus now and then.
